Why consider Botox?
One of the least-costly and most popular cosmetic procedures, Botox can temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines or laugh lines for a refreshed, alert appearance or markedly reduce axillary (arm pit) sweating. The entire procedure takes approximately 10 minutes with minimal discomfort.

How it's done
Tiny injections of Botox are administered into the muscles that cause the frown lines or laugh lines or into the areas of the axillary sweat glands to reduce sweating. No anesthesia is required.

Expectations
Results can be expected within 2-14 days after the procedure and the appearance may continue to improve over the following week. Generally the results from Botox last approximately three months.

Side Effects/Risks
Although very uncommon, the most common side effects following Botox injections may include headache, bruising, temporary eyelid droop and nausea.

Patients with certain neurological disorders such as ALS, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome may have an increased risk of serious side effects. Although serious allergic reactions to Botox have been rarely reported, you should call your physician immediately if you believe you are suffering a reaction.

Healing Process
You should keep your head elevated; avoid massaging the injected area or doing any strenuous activity for at least four hours.
