Contour Threadlift

Why consider a Contour Treadlift?
Patients who do not want a face or brow lift, yet would prefer stronger results than those offered by injectable fillers may benefit from the Contour Threadlift. This less invasive approach, which takes approximately 1-2 hours, can provide a more refreshed appearance without the intensity of a face lift.

How it's done
Through tiny incisions in the temporal scalp area and/or behind the earlobes, non-absorbable barbed sutures are inserted under the skin. The barbs open to form a support structure, lifting sagging tissues of the brow, face and/or neck. The body then produces new collagen bundles to encircle each thread to help maintain the "lifting effect." The procedure is usually performed under local anesthesia with oral sedation.

Expectations
The threadlift effect has shown to last, based on my experience, from 2 to 3 years or possibly more, depending on the patient's age, degree of sagging and number of threads used.

Side Effects/Risks
The side effects of a threadlift may include swelling, bruising, thread rupture, skin irregularities, asymmetries, puckering and infection. Some patients may experience a tightness or pulling sensation and may actually feel the threads. However, this procedure is reversible by removing the "threads".

Healing Process
Normal activity can be resumed within three weeks.
