VELASHAPE™
+ CELLULITE

Why consider VelaShape™?

Velashape™ is an FDA-approved medical device for non-invasive body contouring and treatment of cellulite. Velashape™ is used to reduce the appearance of cellulite and contour the shape of the buttocks, thighs, hips, abdomen, love handles, saddlebags, neck, arms, calves and bra line. The number of treatments for optimal results may vary.

How it's done

The Elos technology of light energy and radiofrequency are combined with vacuum suction to heat the skin's dermal layer to tighten the skin, increase collagen growth and blood supply and reduce the appearance of cellulite. Treatments are performed weekly for 4-6 weeks followed by individual maintenance treatments as needed.

Expectations

The skin surface will appear tighter, firmer and smoother. Gradual tightening of the skin, reduction of fatty tissue and cellulite appearance usually takes at least three to four treatments for noticeable lasting results.  In clinical trials, the average range of circumferential reduction was 0.5-3 inches. Like all non-surgical or surgical techniques, results will last longer if you follow a balanced diet and exercise regularly.

Side Effects/Risks

Short term side effects may include pain, hair pulling sensation during treatments, redness, mild burning sensation, temporary bruising and skin discoloration. Other rarer side effects such as damage to the natural skin texture (ie. crusts, blisters or burns), scarring, keloids and discoloration may occur.

Healing Process

You may feel a deep heat sensation for up to 30 minutes following the treatment. Since this is a non-invasive procedure, there is no recovery time. Following treatment, sun screen should be used regularly on exposed treated areas.
