Why consider Elos™ ReFirme Skin Tightening?

Elos™ ReFirme Skin Tightening restores youthful healthy looking skin by precisely heating the underlying skin tissue to stimulate collagen production and produce a firming effect in lax skin. The result is noticeable lifting and a smoother, more toned skin texture. It can be used to treat laxity in the jowls, cheeks, neck and brow. This procedure effectively and gently restores and rejuvenates the appearance of your skin. A series of 5-6 treatments is recommended to achieve improvement.

How it's done

The ReFirme™ ST procedure combines safe and effective levels of infrared light and bipolar radiofrequentcy (electric current) energies to remodel the dermal layer of the skin by stimulating new collagen growth. Treatments are performed every three (3) weeks for fifteen (15) weeks. The applicator tip has a cooling component that chills the skin being treated for comfort. Occasionally a patient may require the use of a topical anesthetic agent for comfort when large areas are being treated.

Expectations

Improvement in skin laxity and sagginess can be appreciated almost immediately following each treatment, but usually takes 4-5 treatments to become noticeably lasting. Maintenance treatments can be performed as needed every 3-6 months.

Side Effects/Risks

Short term side effects such as pain, hair pulling sensation during treatments, redness, mild burning or discoloration of the skin are possible. Rarer side effects include damage to the natural skin texture, scarring, keloids and discoloration.

Healing Process

Since the treatments are non-ablative or non-invasive, you can return to work immediately following each treatment. Following the treatment, sun screen should be used regularly to protect the treated area(s).
